HB 427

Background

HB 427 would allow Kentucky conservation officers to receive funds from the Kentucky Law Enforcement Foundation Program Fund (KLEFP) grant. These funds would not impact the KDFWR funds or State general funds. This increase would help KDFWR attract and retain the best possible conservation officers. The KDFWR strongly supports this bill. Please call your state representative and voice your opinion on this important bill.

Please support HB 427. Kentucky's Conservation Officers deserve the opportunity to receive KLEFP grant fund monies to remain competitive with other Kentucky law enforcement agencies. This vote would not affect the state's general fund or the Kentucky fish and wildlife fund.
